The airport connects with the center of Madrid thanks to the city buses of the Empresa Municipal de Transportes (EMT) through the following bus lines:
Exprés Aeropuerto 203, 200, N27 Exprés and 101.

Intercity bus lines 822, 824, 827 and 828 connect other towns with the airport.

How to get by bus to the airport terminals T1-T2-T3 and T4 from the city or urban areas.

Bus line 203 Exprés Aeropuerto (Airport Express shuttle or Aerobus). Atocha/Cibeles - O'Donnell - Madrid airport

Bus 203 Exprés Aeropuerto, or Airport Express shuttle, is the bus that connects the city center -departing from Atocha Train Station- with Madrid-Barajas Airport. Is also know as Aerobus Madrid.

The 203 yellow buses have modern luggage racks to make the journey as comfortable as possible. Any type of luggage (suitcase, trolleys and travel bags) weighing less than 23 kilograms, and shape and size allowed in the standards of Civil Aviation can be carried.

The bus runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, although during the day this line operates under the name 203 Exprés Aeropuerto, at night it changes its name to N27 Exprés Aeropuerto. As the Madrid night bus network is also known as búhos (the Spanish word for owls), the aerobus in its night version is also called búho to Madrid airport.

The Aerobus Madrid is the most economical option for getting to the airport at night.

Schedule: every 15-20 minutes during the day service (from 6:00 to 23:30) and every 35 minutes during the night service (from 23:30 to 6:00). Reduced schedule on special dates: 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January.
The journey usually takes 30 minutes from Atocha station to terminal T1, 35 minutes to terminal T2 and 40 minutes to terminal T4.

Price: 5 €. You can pay on the bus in cash (maximum change 20€) or by bank card or mobile phone.

Attention: The Atocha stop (Atocha train Station) only operates during daytime hours, from 6:00 to 23:30. During the early hours of the morning, the N27 starts its route at the Cibeles stop. Likewise, on the night route from the airport to the city, the last stop is Cibeles, since the N27 does not arrive at Atocha between 23:30 and 6 am.

Aerobus Madrid- Airport Express Shuttle

Bus line 200: from Avenida de America to the airport.

It is a fast bus between the Avenida de America interchange and Madrid airport.

Schedule: from 5:10* to 23:30 with buses every 10-20 minutes.
To understand the location of each stop (floor), this varies depending on whether it is outward or return journey of the service: Departures zone if it is outward journey (Madrid-> Airport), or Arrivals zone if it is return journey (Airport-> Madrid).

Bus line 101: from Canillejas to the Airport - Barajas (Plaza Mayor de Barajas)

Line 101 is the bus that connects the Canillejas interchange with the airport.

Departure times from the airport:
Monday to Saturday: 6:00 to 23:25. Sundays and holidays: 7:00. Waiting time between 12 and 30 minutes.
To understand the location of each stop (on which floor it is located), it varies depending on whether it is an outward or return trip: Departures zone if it is a one-way trip (Canillejas-> Barajas), or Arrivals zone if it is a return trip (Barajas-> Canillejas) .

How to get by bus to the airport terminals T1-T2-T3 and T4 from outside the metropolitan area and nearby towns.

Line 822: Madrid Airport - Coslada - San Fernando de Henares.

Line 822 is the bus line that departs from Madrid airport terminal T1 to Coslada and San Fernando de Henares. It operates from Monday to Sunday, all year round. The trip takes approximately 45 minutes from the origin to the end of the trip.

Line 824: Madrid Airport - Torrejón de Ardoz - Alcalá de Henares.

The line bus 827 is the bus that runs between Madrid (Canillejas Intermodal Area - Canillejas Metro) and the town of Tres Cantos, passing through Madrid Airport Terminal 4, Alcobendas and the Autonomous University.

The intercity bus line 828 runs between Madrid (Canillejas Intermodal Area - Canillejas Metro) and the Universidad Autónoma, passing through the Feria de Madrid fairgrounds, the T4 terminal of the Madrid-Barajas airport and Alcobendas.
